AREDN Networks

What is an AREDN network?
AREDN is a high speed wireless mesh network utilizing commodity network and wireless equipment to build a fault tolerant, reliable network. The AREDN project grew out of the ARRL HSMM project. To learn more about the AREDN project, please visit https://arednmesh.org/.
The central construct in the AREDN network is a node. The node will communicate with one or more nodes either through direct connections, wireless links or an IP tunnel. Being a mesh network nodes typically connect with other near by nodes (neighbors) and as a result have multiple paths through the network.
You think of the mesh network as a spider's web where the intersecting strands of web are AREDN nodes. Each intersection has other intersections surrounding it. If an intersection gets plucked out (a hole in the web), then data can still be moved around the network as it just finds another path through the network around the hole.
Where is the AREDN network?
Much like how the internet started as a collection of smaller networks, there are many AREDN networks. Some are joined together through IP tunnels others are solitary islands.
While this is not an exhaustive list of AREDN networks, the following list are some of the more notable AREDN networks around. If you know of any other networks that should be listed here, please email ten.lrra@f0tw with a reference.
